Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Poetry Asylum, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. User Accounts
You must sign in using a supported OAuth provider (Google, Facebook, X/Twitter, Discord, or Instagram). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activities that occur under it.
3. Content Ownership
You retain full ownership of all content you post on Poetry Asylum, including poetry, music, and digital art. By posting content, you grant Poetry Asylum a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Post content that is illegal, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
- Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Spam, advertise, or solicit without permission
- Impersonate other users or entities
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service
5. Community Standards
Poetry Asylum is a creative community. We expect all members to treat each other with respect. Harassment, bullying, hate speech, and discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated and may result in account suspension or termination.
6. Content Moderation
We reserve the right to remove or modify any content that violates these terms. Users may report content they believe violates community standards. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.
7. Voting System
Our voting system is designed to highlight quality content. Manipulation of the voting system, including using multiple accounts to vote, is prohibited.
8. Poetry Slam Competitions
Participation in Poetry Slams is voluntary. All entries must be original work. Winners are determined by community votes. Poetry Asylum reserves the right to disqualify entries that violate these terms.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
10. Limitation of Liability
Poetry Asylum is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Users will be notified of significant changes and asked to agree to the updated terms.
